We did it!
In front of a sold-out crowd of over 600 people, the Circle City Socialites took to the track at Ellenberger Park Saturday night with pearls and skates ‘a-flyin! The temperature inside the rink may have been hot, but the action on the track was even hotter as the Green Team skated to a 102-53 victory over the Black Team.
Our inaugural ‘Coming Out Brawl’ was a smashing success, and we’d like to wholeheartedly thank all the skaters, staff, sponsors, derby sisters, and of course fans who made our league’s roller derby debut possible. Your support and enthusiasm has been overwhelming! Special thanks go out to the skaters from the Bleeding Heartland Roller Girls and the Rollergirls of Southern Indiana who laced up to join our ranks as honorary Socialites for the night.
October will find the Socialites training hard for their next engagement, still to be determined!
